📌 Overview
Product Synchronization updates a product's information in the Hue portal to match your Shopify store. This is useful when you've made edits on your Shopify storefront — like a product name change — and want those updates reflected in the Hue module and portal.
💡 When Might You Want to Use This?
- You've updated a product's details in Shopify and want the Hue portal to reflect the change.
- The product name or other synced data appears outdated in the Hue portal.
🪜 Step-by-Step Instructions
- In the left-hand panel, click Products.
- Click into the product you'd like to synchronize.
- Go to the Product Information tab.
- On the right-hand side, click Synchronize.
A confirmation window will appear asking: "Are you sure you want to synchronize this product with Shopify? This will update the product name and may overwrite some data."
- Click Yes to continue, or No to cancel.
If you continue, the product's information will update with any recent edits made on your storefront.
Note: For this to work, Shopify Product Sync must already be set up on your account. If it hasn't been set up yet, see the Shopify Product Sync article in the Implementation section of the help center.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
Nothing changed after I synchronized the product
- Confirm you made the intended edits on your Shopify storefront before synchronizing.
- Verify that Shopify Product Sync has been properly set up on your account.
I'm worried synchronizing will overwrite data I don't want changed
- Synchronizing updates the product name and may overwrite certain synced fields. If you're unsure what will be affected, reach out to the Hue team before proceeding.
I don't see the Synchronize button
- Make sure you're on the Product Information tab within the specific product.
