Product Tagging

📌 Overview

Product tagging connects a review to a specific product (and variant) so it can be showcased on your site. There are a few ways to tag a product, but this article covers the initial method: tagging a product while uploading a new asset directly from the Products tab.

 

💡 When Might You Want to Use This?

• You're uploading a new asset and want to attach it to a specific product right away.
• You want to showcase different variants of a product using separate reviews.

🪜 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Navigate to the Product

1. In the left-hand panel, click Products.
2. Click into the product you'd like to add a review to.

You'll see three tabs on the product's main screen: Reviews, Product Information, and Score Trends. Stay on the Reviews tab for this walkthrough.

 

2. Create a New Product Review

1. In the top-right corner, you'll see three options: Create Product Review, Export Reviews, and Export Assets. Click Create Product Review.
2. Click Browse Files and select the video you'd like to upload.

Once the upload finishes, you'll see a message confirming the asset is prepared for saving. From here, you can configure the tagged product, assign a creator, assign a playlist, and add a text review.

 

3. Tag the Product

1. At the top of the Details tab, click the Product/Variant dropdown.
2. Select the product you'd like to tag from the list.
3. If the product has variants, select the specific variant you want to add to this review.
4. Click Save.

The tagged product and variant will now appear under Tagged Products. You can tag a single product, or tag multiple products if you'd like to showcase several variants on the same review.

 

4. Finish the Review

• Tag an existing creator, or use Quick Add to add a new one.
• Optionally, assign the review to a playlist.
• Optionally, add a text review.

Note: Text reviews only display on the Standard module — they won't appear on the Mini module.

 

5. Save and Approve

Click Save and Approve to finish. Your product is now tagged onto the review.

 

🔁 Other Ways to Tag a Product

Product tagging isn't limited to uploading a new asset from the Products tab. You can also tag (or update) products from:

• Asset Gallery — Click into any existing review, regardless of its status (live, draft, or otherwise), and add or remove tagged products directly.
• Desktop Import — Navigate to your imported assets and manually tag any pending or unapproved reviews located there.

 

🛠️ Troubleshooting

I don't see the product I'm looking for in the dropdown

• Confirm the product has been imported into the system and exists under the correct storefront.

My text review isn't showing on the site

• Text reviews only appear on the Standard module. If you're using the Mini module, the text review won't be visible there.

I need to tag more than one product on the same review

• Repeat the tagging step for each additional product or variant you'd like to include before saving.
